DAY 27 - NATIONAL WILDLIFE ART MUSEUM, Jackson, WY

Sat. July 14, 2012

It was good to have some mail from home, thanks to our neighbors picking it up, and forwarding it
to us.  For those of you who sent us Anniversary cards, and Birthday cards to Russ, thank you so much.  Today was the first day that weather played into our plans.  We headed to The National Wildlife Art Museum about 11 AM.  Had to turn around and return to the RV for our Camcorder.
Good thing it was only nine miles (but that equals two gallons of gas, round trip).  The NWAM
was an awesome place to spend  two and a half hours, including time to have a very tasty lunch in their Cafe.  We each has a bowl of Chili and a salad combo for $9.50 each.

We took the Jenny Lake loop, and stopped at the Visitors Center in Grand Teton National Park.  Shortly afterour visit, we had heavy rain that made me want to pull off the road.  We drove a
52 mile loop, and were happy to get back to Jackson by 7:15 PM.   By then, we were hungry and ready to call it a day.  It was the first time we both felt disappointed.  We are getting spoiled with the fair weather, and scenery that calls us to stop and take pictures at every turn.

This bronze sculpture greets visitors to the
NATIONAL WILDLIFE ART MUSEUM.

This bear is the only one we have seen.
It was our luncheon companion
on the patio where
we ate our lunch.

This was one of the views when
we stopped at the Jenny Lake
Visitors Center, in Grand Teton
National Park.

We were grateful for someone
taking our photo together.
We often exchange favors with other
folks who are taking family photos.

The person who took the earlier
photo, allowed me to take a picture of his
very special foot gear. He said they cost
between $75 and $150 a pair.
