OCTOBER 10 - ROAD SIDE MEMORIALS

WEDNESDAY
OCTOBER 10 , 2012

We drove 270 miles from Santa Fe to Carlsbad, New Mexico
on Wednesday.  It was flat and desolate road.
Russ spotted some Prong Horn Antelope in
two clusters of about five each, but
I was dosing and did not get pictures.

The only three pictures I took on Wednesday
were just for the memories and reminders.

A WAL-MART store sign
which represents an oasis of plenty
to us these days.

Plenty of  parking space for our big rig and truck;
generally, plenty of food to
replenish our produce, dairy and meats;
plenty of miscellaneous merchandise
to meet our other needs
all in one place.

The other two pictures
were a reminder of
how precious life is,
and how blessed we are
to have safe travels
every day.

This reminder was at the entrance
to the Wal-Mart parking lot
in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

All I could think was , "there but for the grace of God".
We have seen so many memorials of this sort,
but this is the first for a
MOM

May she rest in Peace.
