We were happy to have the temperature up to 75 degrees by
Noon when we drove to Monterey for lunch at BUBBA GUMPS,
overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Fortunately, we found a parking meter (two hour limit)
right opposite the restaurant.
After lunch we had time to stroll along
Cannery Row, and see some of the unique
shops and other restaurants.
This stained glass piece was
hanging in the window of
Sly McFly's Historic Restaurant.
As we walked upstairs
in one of the Cannery Row buildings,
we were greeted by the Candy Factory shop.
I took this picture for our Grand-daughters.

We drove along Ocean View Drive to reach Point Pinos
Lighthouse just one half hour before they closed at 4 PM.
POINT PINOS LIGHTHOUSE
with Bare Naked Lilies out front.
Just outside the Lighthouse window,
we could see the Pacific Grove public golf course
that butts up to Pebble Beach Golf Resort.
These deer acted like they owned the place.
I was really impressed with this lovely Quilt in the
Lighthouse bedroom.
They also had three raffle quilts
to raise funds to continue the
restoration of the Lighthouse.
I was thrilled when I spotted this pair
of Harbor Seals.
Mom and Baby
seemed to enjoy our attention,
while they rested in the Monterey Harbor.
The baby seemed to have a tag on its
head which looks like a yellow cap.
The GRANDE FINALE of the
day was this HARBOR SEAL,
perched on a rock,
just below the surface.
He just loved having the waves
splash his belly.
I video taped this, and
Russ caught him with his Camcorder.
What fun to watch him for at least five minutes.
