AUGUST 21 - 22 - ON THE ROAD AGAIN, VEHICLE MAINTENANCE DAYS

TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY
AUGUST 21 AND 22, 2012

As day 65 and 66 dawned,
we had to face the inevitable task
 of finding places
 we could trust
to service the RV and the Truck.

Tuesday was a travel day between Monterey Vacation Park
and Visalia Country Manor Mobile Home Community.
We arrived early enough for Russ to call

Visalia RV Sales and Service

and arrange an 8 AM appointment to have the
RV brakes adjusted.
Those folks outdid themselves
in Service.

They pulled one wheel and showed
us what our needs were.

This is the Picture of the Day.

They were able to reach a Supplier with four replacement brakes.
They picked them up and had them installed for us by 3 PM.

While the RV was being serviced,
we stopped at a Post Office and finally
got post card stamps to get some
long overdue card mailed.

We located a place to have an
OIL Change for the Truck,
and had them check the BRAKE SEAL
that had smoked so profusely
on our descent into Yosemite Valley.

You guessed it, we needed another
BRAKE SEAL replacement on the same wheel.
The EXPERT TIRE folks located
a mechanic who could take
us the next morning.

The folks at EXPERT TIRE,
arranged a discount with one
of their clients, AVIS CAR RENTAL,
and then
offered to pick Russ up at that Mechanic's Shop
and take him to AVIS
so we could rent a car to salvage August 23.

GOD WAS WITH US

 THROUGH THESE ANGELS.

We felt the power of all of your prayers,
to keep us safe in our travels.
With brakes in that condition,
it is a miracle that we did not
have a serious failure.
